Welcome to Shopbook (“the Service”), operated by Shopbook Technologies (PVT) LTD. By accessing or using our mobile application or web platform (web.shopbook.lk), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Shopbook is a digital accounting tool designed to help small businesses manage finances, available in English, Sinhala, and Tamil for iOS, Android, and web platforms. These Terms outline the scope of free and premium features.

  • Cash Flow Management: Identify potential cash flow bottlenecks.
  • Customer Management: Track customers and send reminders.
  • Automatic Backups: Ensure data is backed up regularly.
  • Notifications: Send automatic reminders and alerts.

  • Messaging Templates: Prefilled messaging templates.

3. Subscription Plans and Payments

Shopbook offers both free and paid subscriptions.

3.1 Available Plans

  • Free Trial: 30-day access to all premium features at no cost.
  • Monthly Plan: LKR 1,800/month.
  • Annual Plan: LKR 21,600/year

To provide functionality, Shopbook requests specific user permissions.

  • Storage: For document and report storage.
  • Camera: For product image capture.
  • Bluetooth: For printer connectivity.
  • Internet: For connectivity and data sync.
  • Location Services: For optimized service.

4.2 Data Usage

  • User data is securely stored and used to improve the Service.
  • No data sharing with third parties without user consent.
  • Users retain full ownership of their business data.

5. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

  1. Provide accurate account information.
  2. Maintain account and data security.
  3. Use the Service in a lawful and ethical manner.
  4. Avoid misuse of the Service.
  5. Report technical issues promptly.

7.2 Termination by User

Users may terminate their accounts by:

  • Stopping the use of the Service.
  • Contacting Shopbook Support for assistance with deletion.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

All content, features, and functionalities are owned by Shopbook Technologies (PVT) LTD and protected under intellectual property laws.

8.2 Restrictions

Users may not:

  • Copy, modify, or extract source code.
  • Transfer any rights or licenses to third parties.
  • Create derivative works based on the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

9.2 Liability Limitations

Shopbook Technologies (PVT) LTD is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Loss of business data or profits.
  • Service interruptions or loss.

10. Changes to Terms

10.1 Modifications

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be communicated through notifications, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
